When I go to active directory I get an error saying: Data from xxx. When I open Group Policy Management, everything is gone. Please help, Thank you, Ren. Are you able to open AD UC from another machine work within? Assuming that AD UC doesn't work when run from the administrative tools menu, did you try to open it via Start, run type "mmc" without the quotes and adding the snapin here?

Hi Meinolf, Thank you so much for your response. It is blank. Also, I went to check out the properties network connection and I received an error message unexpected error occurred.

I am not shure if this is problem related. I did reregister the Netshell. That fixed the properties network connection unexpected error occurred issue. I am still see only one folder with exlamtion point in active directory. I still get that message:.

If that also don't help or maybe before requesting the hotfix i suggest to delete the user profile form the account you use on that DC and then logon aagin and start AD UC. There is now need to install this update. I really appreciate you helping me on this issue. You have the option to use a non-authoritative restore or an authoritative restore, first one will use the existing data from another DC and the latter will mark this mahcine as authoritative and all other DCs will get it's database.
